Welcome to the OSFI Approvals Portal
The Approvals Portal is an online platform developed by the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions Canada (OSFI). It is used to securely manage document submissions related to approvals cases.
This portal enables you to:
- View a list of your active cases, where you are identified by OSFI as a contact person.
- View additional contacts associated with your active cases.
- Upload and submit information related to an active case, as required by OSFI.
- View a list of the submission history for each of your active cases.
Currently, the portal only is available for submitting one type of approval case. Federally regulated insurers (FRIs) with valid Superintendent approvals to reinsure with a related party, pursuant to sections 523 or 597 of the Insurance Companies Act, are obligated to submit annual information to OSFI by April 30th of each calendar year. The Approvals Division refers to these as "Reinsurance Review" cases. In the future, we plan to expand the use of this Approvals Portal for other types of OSFI approvals and services.
Reinsurance Review Cases
The table below shows a list of your active cases, where you are identified by OSFI as a contact person. Click on the Case ID for more details. You will be able to see the current list of contacts associated with that case and add more contacts, if needed. You will also see the history of information submissions for that case and have the ability to start a new submission for information required by OSFI.
If any cases are missing from the table, or you are questioning the presence of cases listed in the table, let us know.
